Minecraft is a sandbox video game formerly created by Swedish game designer Markus "Notch" Persson, and later developed and shared by Mojang. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft allow players to generate constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. Other activities in the overall game include exploration, reference gathering, crafting, and battle.
