Minecraft is a three-dimensional sandbox game that does not have any specific goals for the ball player to perform, allowing players a great amount of independence in choosing how that can be played the gameHowever, there can be an achievements system. Gameplay by default is first person, but players have the choice to try out in third person method. The core gameplay revolves around breaking and placing blocks. The game world comprises rough 3D objects--mainly cubes--arranged in a set grid pattern and representing different materials, such as dirt, stone, various ores, water, lava, tree trunks, etc. While players can move around the world freely, objects can only just be put at preset locations on the grid. The entire world is split into biomes which range from deserts to jungles to snowfield. Players can walk across the terrain comprising plains, mountains, forests, caves, and various water bodies. The in-game time system comes after a night and day pattern, with one full circuit long lasting 20 real-time minutes. Through the entire course of the game, players come across various non-player individuals known as mobs, including animals, villagers and hostile animals. Non-hostile animals--such as cows, pigs, and chickens--can be hunted for food and crafting materials, and spawn in the daytime. In comparison, hostile mobs--such as large spiders, skeletons, and zombies--spawn during nighttime or in dark places, such as caves. Some Minecraft-unique creatures have been observed by reviewers, including the Creeper, an exploding creature that sneaks up on the ball player; and the Enderman, a creature with the ability to teleport and grab blocks.
